Can the Chicago Bulls knock off the Boston Celtics?
The pesky Bulls.
That’s what the Chicago Bulls are turning out to be at least during the first two games of their best of seven playoff series with the Boston Celtics in the 2009 NBA Playoffs.
The Chicago Bulls literally SHOCKED the entire league when they went toe to toe with the defending champions Celtics from start to finish in Game 1. And while many thought the Celtics won’t have problems with the young Bulls, many were surprised to see the young Bulls playing with the swagger of a seasoned veteran. Hell, they even had leads of seven and eight at one point of the game.
The shocking developments of Game 1 concluded with the Chicago Bulls beating the Boston Celtics in overtime, 105-103, giving the young Bulls the improbable 1-0 series lead over the defending champs from Boston.
In Game 2, it was more of the same as the Bulls looked poised to give the Celtics another tough outing on their own floor. After Derrick Rose exploded for 36 points, another one of the Bulls guards took it to Boston. This time it was Ben Gordon, exploding for 42.
Yep, after the Celtics let Derrick Rose score 36, they let Ben Gordon score 42 the very next game. How come these Bulls guards can score on the Celtics defense…
