Game 7. Celtics - Magic. Who will face the Cavaliers?
It seems the only thing constant in the NBA playoffs lately is King James and his court.
Yup, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been dominant so far after two rounds in the 2009 NBA Playoffs. They have the best record in the league and as expected, they were able to overwhelm the Detroit Pistons and the Atlanta Hawks easily, sweeping both to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are now a perfect 8-0 in the postseason and have won every game by 10 or more points. They are the first team to sweep the first two rounds of the playoffs since Miami in 2005. Still, they don’t want to celebrate just yet.
”Why celebrate?” Cavs forward LeBron James said. ”We’re a team gunning for a
championship. We’re happy that we’re playing great basketball. We’re not taking anything for granted. We aren’t satisfied.” LeBron’s 28-point career scoring average in the postseason is the highest among players still competing in the playoffs and fifth best all-time.
The Cavs now await the winner of the other East semifinal series between the Orlando Magic and the Boston Celtics. The series is now tied at 3-3 with Game 7 set this Sunday. Whichever team wins that will face the Cavs in the 2009 NBA Eastern Conference Finals.
But which team will match-up with the Cavaliers better..?
